Nurture & Navigate

Motherhood is beautiful and challenging- you don’t have to do it alone.

In fact, you weren’t made to do it alone. We actually need a village to thrive!

A mother's role is to nurture, and yet it is also vitally important that a mother herself be nurtured, supported, and encouraged. Today's society is not very good at fostering a healthy balance of both.

I have a special heart for young mothers, which began before I started my own mothering journey and continues to deepen along my path. Culture says it's supposed to be a pinnacle, perfectly fulfilling and defining moment of life. Supermom titles, carefully curated lives, endless patience, and next-level engagement with your children is sold as the goal. While motherhood often brings innumerous moments of beauty, joy, excitement, deep meaning, and big love…it can also leave women feeling depleted, anxious, depressed, exhausted, isolated, ashamed, bored and overwhelmed.

Introducing my new Group… Nurture & Navigate.

What is it?

9 week mom’s therapeutic support group.

Any mom with kids ages 0-10.

When does it meet?

Friday mornings 10:30-12:00.

My office building, 416 East Iris Drive.

$75 per meeting.

Why join?

As a mom, have you ever felt like…

  • I don’t know what I’m doing and I’m afraid I’ll mess up my kids.

  • I’m struggling with self care. I don’t know how to nurture my kids and myself. My cup is near empty.

  • Motherhood is intense! So many beautiful highs and crashing lows. It’s hard to hold both.

  • I feel lonely and like no one talks about all the responsibilities of motherhood.

  • I love my kids so much and I experience significant anxiety or depressive feelings that I’m not sure how to care for.

  • I’m having a hard time communicating with my partner, spouse, co-parent.

  • I’m totally overwhelmed and exhausted.

  • I feel pressure to “do all the things” and “have it together” all the time and it seems impossible.

  • I feel shame about some aspect of parenting- losing my temper with my children, struggles with discipline, unsure how to emotionally connect, etc. and it is hard to recover.

  • I’m not sure what I am feeling, but I have a deep inner knowing that I need more community. I need a village!

If you have experienced any of these feelings, then this group is for you! Nurture and Navigate is a place to share the highs and lows of mothering, learn about this significant and continually evolving role, practice self care, be encouraged, feel supported, and grow into a more whole hearted, present, and connected person/mom *with other mom’s experiencing similar challenges.*

What can I expect?

Nurturing - healthy snacks, refreshing drinks, comfortable chairs, and a cozy setting.

Presence - activities to help you feel grounded in the present moment: breath work, mindfulness, yoga/ stretching, bilateral movement, music, poetry, and/ or essential oils.

Connection - with yourself and other moms through vulnerable sharing and intentional processing exercises.

Healing - by bringing things into the light and realizing you are not alone, breaking generational cycles that no longer serve you, and practicing self care and self love that rejuvenates you from the inside out.
