I’m honored you’re here.

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
— Anais Nin

I will never forget the day I first took the risk to blossom. I was in my early twenties, about to begin graduate school for counseling (wasn't I supposed to "have it all together"?!), and suffering from acute anxiety and depression. My own fear and shame kept trying to convince me to hide and remain tight in the bud. In fact, a loud and gnawing inner voice told me that it was safer to just stay hidden with all of my brokenness. Thankfully, something deep in my heart knew I was created for more: presence, peace, connection, freedom, healing, and love…starting with myself. So, I took a risk, and called a therapist to begin my own journey of healing.

Over the years, I have personally experienced: job dissatisfaction, suffering related to an eating disorder, relational brokenness, the difficulty of facing ancestral trauma, my own mental health challenges around motherhood, walking beside loved ones in recovery from addiction, painful somatic symptoms, immense grief and loss, and at times uncertainty of my own worth or purpose. Thankfully, my story doesn’t end there! Through my own therapeutic work, I have come to experience clear direction around my purpose and unique gifting, full healing in my relationship with food and body image, deeper understanding of my story and dysfunctional cycles that I work to end, learning how to repair and/or heal from broken relationships, prioritizing self care in a way that honors my worth, practicing healthy boundaries in relationships, participating in life giving recovery work, somatic healing, and engaging fully with grief and loss.

Today, I am a wife to Paul, mom to three beloved kids, daughter, sister, friend, therapist and woman who is continually looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and be gracious to myself along the way. I love what I do as a therapist because I know the life changing impact it can have on your heart, mind, and body. The blossoming is real- and walking beside my clients as they experience healing, growth and change in their relationships is one of the great honors of my life.

I look forward to connecting with you.  Check out what counseling or group sessions with me are like, and then let’s connect.
